Start with prepared estate planning documents

Trust and power of attorney paperwork
Mobile appointments cover Pasadena and nearby San Gabriel Valley communities. Have your documents prepared and the signing instructions available before arranging an appointment. Tell Alex what paperwork you have, who will sign, and which signatures are identified for notarization. Not every document in an estate planning packet needs notarization; follow the instructions for your particular paperwork.
Work with your attorney or document provider
Your attorney or document provider should answer questions about which documents you need, who should sign, and how to complete them. Alex can discuss the requested notarizations and appointment arrangements. The service does not include drafting an estate plan, selecting documents, or advising on their legal effect.

Arrange your mobile notarization

1. Describe your paperwork

Share the document types, number of signers, signing location, and preferred appointment window. Include the number of signatures identified for notarization if known. Mention any witness instructions or signing accommodations that need discussion before the appointment is arranged.

2. Coordinate everyone attending

Confirm whether all signers will attend together or whether separate visits need to be discussed. If your instructions call for witnesses, arrange them as directed by your attorney or document provider. Tell Alex those requirements in advance; witness availability is not a promised service.

3. Confirm the visit and fee

Alex will confirm availability, the meeting location, and the total for the agreed work. Mobile appointments take place at the arranged location; there is no walk-in office. Allow time beforehand to resolve document questions with the professional who prepared your paperwork.

Have identification, documents, and instructions ready

Original identification and all signers
Each signer must appear in person. Have acceptable original identification ready, or discuss identification questions with Alex before booking. Raise missing or expired identification, a name difference, or a signing accommodation beforehand. California’s identification rules have specific conditions, so resolve preparation questions before the visit.
Complete paperwork and signing instructions
Bring complete documents and your attorney’s or document provider’s instructions. California notaries cannot notarize incomplete documents. A jurat requires signing in the notary’s presence and an oath or affirmation. An acknowledgment permits an earlier signature, but you must personally appear and acknowledge it. Ask your document provider to resolve the required act, missing information, and witness requirements.

Fees for estate document notarization

General mobile notary work pricing
The general appointment minimum is $100 for up to 3 notarized or witnessed signatures, including travel. The published notarial fee is $15 per signature; the appointment minimum includes the mobile service. Review the fees page and confirm the total for your location and requested work.
Details needed for a quote
Provide the signer count, requested notarizations, location, and timing. Extra travel charges may apply beyond 10 miles from Pasadena. Separate visits or additional work may affect the total. Share witness instructions and any other arrangements in advance so everyone knows what to prepare.

Your notary and the scope of the appointment

Your notary: Alex Allen
Alex Allen is a California notary public, commission No. 2464715, expiring October 12, 2027. Review the signing profile and customer feedback, and contact Alex to discuss the arrangements for your visit.
Notarization and estate planning advice are different services
Alex does not provide legal advice, select a notarial act for you, or determine whether an estate plan achieves your intentions. Notarization does not establish a document’s legal validity. Ask your attorney or document provider about document choices, witness requirements, and legal effect; bring their instructions to the appointment.
